Right out of the box, my first impressions are that for the price this is a good quality product. Everything arrived straight and feeling sturdy for now. Rimless glasses are hard to make and loosen easily. One thing I noticed right away is that the edges are indeed polished. That was something my Optometrist's provider didn't do when I ordered rimmed glasses, so it was something I was watching out for through these guys.
Regarding fit and finish: the frames are meant to appear thin and delicate, which is not easy to engineer. They appear to have succeeded in the look. However, I have a few gripes about screw heads that should be flush with the steel in the inner part of the frame. These don't touch the skin, but they can be seen from certain angles. While the bolts that hold the lenses are not as lengthy as they appear in the photos, they are quite a bit more bulky than I thought they'd be. When I set the glasses down, you can hear the colored plastic rattling against the steel; not everything about these are tight. And then there's the lenses themselves. For your reference, my correction is -3.50, and I ordered 1.59 refractive index lenses. That was just barely good enough. My lenses are on the chunky side, but still just barely work stylistically. Had I known, I might have laid the extra $30 down on thinner lenses. Maybe. But if your correction is higher, you will certainly need a refractive index of at least 1.65. Otherwise these will look absurd.
If you are going for the Noah Vosen look, these really drive the point home. They even remind me Edward Snowden. You will not get hired to the CIA wearing these, but you will look bold and smart.
